This will be my first time booking a holiday since I became disabled (Electric wheelchair user) so I'm not too clued up on where and what I need to look for, when trying to book flights and hotels/apartments

I plan to go to Barcelona with a friend in July for a long weekend and so far I have been looking on booking.com for the accommodation and flight scanner for the flights

are there any other apps or websites you would recommend for someone looking to buy flights and hotels for three nights but it is essential that it has wheelchair access entrance and bathroom, needing a twin single room

Any sites or apps you advise in order to get the best prices? I was told the sooner you book the better but I plan to go in a few weeks so appreciate I may have left it too late
Planning to go to Central Barcelona by the way, which from what I read is generally  wheelchair accessible, well compared to Madrid

thank you

It seems that since everybody has relaxed about Covid in the last couple of months, holiday accommodation bookings in Spain have shot up, with many hotels full, or nearly full and increasing prices. ( as you seem to have suspected) Also school holidays start in about a month.
On a more positive note I have just got back from a week in Spain, and no issues with queues ay security, passport control, despite recent headlines.

Personally I would use booking.com or similar to find availability, and usually quite good detailed descriptions of the facilities. Then contact the hotel directly to try and get a better price ( breakfast thrown in for free for example) and for direct confirmation of the wheelchair/disabled facilities available. If you e mail them in English, they will normally understand in most cases.
