mine are 15 (DD) and 16 nearly 17 (DS). DD's hormones are all over the place and she can go from being nice and friendly to a screaming, angry nasty in the flash of a second.

They don't want me around most of the time either unless they want a lift somewhere or some money or food etc.

    Betterlatethannever,

That was such a humorous and inspired Thread; you are one of those people that makes life so much more enjoyable. There are a few things I'd like to add but only when the cold harsh grip of Monday moring has establised itself.:D :D
  • Rich thank you.
i look forward to your comments tomorrow morning x
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

    Good morning bltn,

I can only think of a few, and I was struggling to find anything bad or ugly. I'm sure my O.H could add a few more; I'll see if she's got time in her busy schedule to post some this evening.:D

    The good:
    • Having a plausible excuse for being a “tight fisted old git”.
    • Not having as much paper work to do keeping on top of 10+ credit cards and loans.:D
    • Being able to truthfully boast “I never buy anything on credit”.:A
    • Not having any penalty points because car won’t do more than 65mph.
    • Getting 35mpg and not 18mpg.
    • Better social life from not having to work so hard. :D
    The bad:
    • Having to temporarily do without a car that does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds.:cry:
    The ugly:
    • Bottles of cheap wine.
    • Bottles of cheap whisky.
  • The Good
*Not having to worry about what horrors are in the post
*Knowing that I have my life back and time to start over again
*Not feeling guilty everytime I use a credit card for something
*Not hiding letters from my partner and lying about how much money I owe

    The Bad
*No quick fix to short term cash flow - but I am learning
*Feeling like a 13 year old again by raiding my piggy bank when I need to buy food (the same piggy bank I had when I was 13 as it goes)
*Having to run a business on a cash only basis. Like riding a bike with no hands, its not as easy as it looks.

    The Ugly
*Having not bought any clothes for a year, I am wearing battered looking stuff now. There is an incentive to slim down into my old pre-baby clothes, but I hate diets. They make me feel weak - in more ways than one!
*Dying my own hair. ARGGHHH. A false economy judging by the amount of towels I have ruined
*Having an empty fridge and cooking on the hoof all the time. No oxo cubes? use bovril instead. No bovril? Use a packet of Bisto 'Curry Sauce' granules which have been in the cupboard for 3 years instead.
*Not going out, so having to drink at home. Very good for the pocket, but very bad for health (£6 goes alot further in the Offie than it does in the pub)

ha ha i know what you mean about diets but i face a different problem! Lost nearly 6 stone since having DS (bless him, he only weighed 7 pounds so who knows where the rest came off...actually i do know and refering to an earlier post, sticking stuff down my bra wouldn;t work for me!)>...so the very ugly is wearing clothes that are 4 sizes too big, which at the end of the day means wearing very few clothes at all coz they all fall off....BUT the good news is that if i do have another baby, i won't have to rush out and get maternity gear! The ugly also includes getting my 'new' clothes from freecyle...along with all my furniture!!

Dying my own hair too...has to go in the ugly part coz it really is not a pretty site..and yes, have the same problems with towels as you do!

Rich, i am with you on that one...cheap wine is defiantely very ugly!!

    Love this thread!

    the good:

    a) not having to worry about how to pay my bills this month
    b) loosing that feeling of unease deep in my stomach
    c) sleeping 8 hours every night
    d) just over 3 months until automatic discharge

    the bad:

    a) never remembering to top up my cashcard
    b) not having any savings for emergencies
    c) still having just under 50% debt in relation to my salary - that pesky student loan!

    The Ugly:

    a) no more regular trips to the beauticians. I haven't had a wax in zonks and trimming is not the same! (some may remember my last credit card purchase was a course of 6). I also manicure my own nails now, though not as well as the professionals.
    b) no more Origins Dr Weil Mega Mushroom moisturiser and beauty serum. I've scaled down to Dr Haushcka :D
    c) wearing clothes/shoes from Primark/ New Look. There was a time when I wouldn't even go in these stores.
