The good:
Maybe this list could be added to, serious or funny stuff more than welcome.
- no credit (yes that is a good thing)
- no debts
- no nasty letters and phone calls
- Walking more because you've lost the car or can't afford to bus it.
- Many find they become closer to their family/loved ones/friends
- Using your imagination when it comes to entertainment/meal planning
- surviving without so much heating and finding your skins improved because your not living in a hot house
- The weight lose due to lack of food and stress
- Name in newspaper (though its not that horrendous when it actually happens)
- Going to court (again, not too bad)
- Getting together the court and OR fee
- The stigma (yes it does exist, even if a lot of it is in the mind of the BR)
- Explaining to family/friends
- No credit (this is on good and bad list, sometimes its a bad thing)
- No money for emergencies
- The emotional effects of BR
- The root regrowth when you haven't the money for a hair dye

- The slightly dodgy, ill fitting clothes because your well meaning, but much bigger friend has donated some to you (talking from a personal experience)
- Non of the clocks in the house work because you've stolen all the batteries out of them to try and get your rampant rabbit to keep going just one more time:o
- Dodgy haircuts done by yourself/a friend/the student at the hairdressers
- The fits of temper/tears
- Seriously wondering if any of the stores security are watching you as you umm and arhh before pocketing the packet of butter in your mitts
- The very occasionaly nasty comment!!
- Spots caused by stress, also wrinkles
Maybe this list could be added to, serious or funny stuff more than welcome.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

The good: Finally being able to think about having kids, now that I have no debt to burden us or scare the boyfriend.
The bad: Feeling like a failure!
The ugly: Making my own christmas cards! haha

Thinking about kids now with no debt to burden you:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sorry that was uncalled for:o takes a deep breath and calms down:o
The most expensive thing in life kids, they rob you blind of sleep, money, time, love life any sence of calm you may once have had.
In return you get greif, tantrums, wrinkles, grey hair, empty purse, oh and so much more:rotfl: :rotfl:
Wouldnt swap mine for the world.Love em to bits.:rotfl: :rotfl:Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -

Yeah but they give you eye wrinkles from laughing so hard at them, make you want to be a better person and are the only people/person in the world who can make you smile when everything else in your life sucks and makes you want to cry!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
the grey hair goes back to 'the ugly' part of the first post coz you can't afford to get the hair dye and the lack of sleep, god i wish i would have made the most of my sunday lie in's before having a baby...but then again i wasn;t sleeping properly coz i was too busy worrying about not having any money!!
god i love mine and apart from the worrying that goes with em, i wouldn't swap mine either!!:j0 -
The good - going to the cashpoint & realising that what it says is there really is there. :j
The bad - I'm too scared to rely on my debit card in a restaurant (I'm there for Christmas do's, not because they're a regular haunt), so I have no real choice but to go to the cashpoint beforehand. Could be a good thing too though.
The ugly - having a wad of notes in my purse makes me look like I've got loads of money, when it's actually all for things that I need to pay for in cash, like my travelcard. I never used to worry about losing my purse, but now I worry about it nearly every day, because if I lose the cash I've got no other way to get money, & if I also lose my debit card I'll be stuck without cash until a new card arrives. In fact, I find myslf having a bit of a panic every time I go out the door to make sure I have my travelcard, keys etc, because I haven't got the money for an emergency locksmith etc.

Ekk thats something that hadn't crossed my mind about losing my purse..all of a sudden that really matters, also the locksmith:eek:The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. What a wonderfully amusing post. Thank you betterlatethannever. Can I add one thing to the Good section, and that is not being expected to host parties that run into multiple four figures. Nobody dare not invite me because that would be frightfully politically incorrect, but I'm no longer invited to the after party amusement, which in a way I'm rather pleased about.

:T good one Julian
Yes my dinner parties have certainly dried up since BR..no one seems to enjoy my menu of ' lightly baked bruschetta, lavishly topped with haricots and drenched in a creamy yet rich tomato sauce' anymore (more commonly know as beans on toast):p i even put a piece of parsley on top if feeling extravagant:jThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. What a wonderful chef you seem to be betterlatethannever, you've made me positively famished and I have already dined this evening. I'm sure your talents would be more appreciated the further south you went; no further than south of the M25 I should add.
Yours,

 having re-visited my old stomping ground last week, i have no intention of ever going near the M25 again..what a hell place that is.
I shall pass you comments about me seeming a wonderful chef onto my DD, i'm sure when she's finished wetting herself she'll agree:oThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. What a most ungrateful young lady she is. She should be proud of having such a wonderfully imaginative Mother.
