Leaseholders Lease information pack

In my lease pack it states under insurance, " With the exception of fitted carpets, this insurance does not cover the residents contents and possessions within the dwelling and garage. These must be covered by the resident`s own insurance." The management charge contains an insurance charge. Does this mean that the management company is responsible for replacing carpets within the dwelling ?

Just because the insurance covers accidental damage to carpets, you shoudn't assume that all maintenance of the carpets is the responsibility of the landlord. That would be very unusual.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1
