eBay 2-factor authentication

I have 2 ebay accounts, one for buying and one for selling.
Each time I switch between them on the app by signing out of one and into the other I now have to wait for a text to come through on my phone and then submit the code.

This has only been happening for the last couple of weeks but has started to get frustrating. 

Is there any way to deactivate this?
Or, is there any way to sign into 2 accounts and switch between them in the app like you would with Gmail etc?

i have thev option to receive a message from.the app instead of a text - of course, to sign into.the app you need a message from the signed-in app...

Yes, I get that option if I am on ebay on the laptop but I mostly use the phone app so it's either a text or an email.
I can log into the same account  on both devices and it only bothers me once every few days but switching between accounts on either device seems to set it all off again.

I've been having this problem too.  Wish we could link the accounts on one log in, I don't suppose there's a way.

Also, intrigued as to why you have one buying and one selling account.

I have one eBay account, and every time I want to check payments I have to login at least twice in succession - then every time I want to move to any other page within the payments section I have to login for each and every page. This has only been since the eBay 2FA change.
So annoying!

Result, managed to deactivate it!

Found a setting under account/sign-in and security. There's a deactivate button (which looks as though you can't click on it but you can).

I don't seem to have that option anywhere - I only get the option to choose between text and app 2FA.

I don't mind 2FA to be honest, its just where eBay seems to keep requesting i sign back in way too often ever since the 2FA was introduced.

Parallel apps?   Install more than one instance of an app on the same device. Some manufacturers have their
own versions.

Google it and see what works for your brand of phone.

careful if you choose app for 2FA - I did at first then had to re-sign in on the app after doing so but if course you have to be already signed-in to get the notification. Luckily I have a desktop.so could sign in there and reverse it to 'text'
