High standing charges because of energy firms going bust?
I'm trying to work out why we are paying a high standing charge all of a sudden? They say it's used for maintenance, but maintenance was carried out on a much lower standing charge before and has been for years. So is the high standing charge due to firms going bust and having to switch people over? I'm paying like £28.00 a month before I've even used anything now.

Yes a large part of the increase is to recover the cost of the SOLR process for the suppliers that went bust.2 -
And we are all going to be paying for that for some time yet...0
