Something else to be aware of here.
As a cash transaction. Odds on it is incurring interest from the day it debited your statement & even if you pay the balance of the statement in full by the due date you will still have interest on the next statement & the one after.Life in the slow lane0 -
Money transfers use to be treated as purchase trandcations by MBNA. This was changed last year. They sent couple of reminders via the bill notifying customer of this.
I don't think you will have any luck. They have done everything they could have to let the customers know well in advance of the change.0 -

Lesson learned then. Before doing something financially you've never done before, you might be best off reading the terms and conditions next time.

That’s quite some charge. I would pay it off ASAP and consider closing the account and finding a CC provider that better suits your needs.
You will not get anywhere challenging this unfortunately. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

The whole Lloyds stable added in various types of transaction to become cash/cash like transactions about 18 months ago.
I ditched my Halifax Clarity due to this and other issues.0 -
Of course you could have contacted them first before transfering the money and saved yourself some hassle but hind sight is a blessing.0

And there lies the source of your problem. Your complaint has no foundation and the ombudsman is not going to entertain you either.zoemk12 said:
