Do all energy suppliers charge the same standing charges and energy prices for the Price Cap

Indeed, hence initially I only intended to post the unit rates document as reference - the SCs are all very close to EDF's posted earlier in the thread. The rest I just thought was worth knowing for whenever they start accepting customers again - they're the only supplier I currently know of that's so flexible with their billing.Ultrasonic said:
Recent posts suggest that the OP won't be able to switch to Octopus on an SVR though.Spoonie_Turtle said:For reference, Octopus' rates are here https://octopus.energy/documents/122/Flexible_Octopus_April_2022__PDF_VAT.pdf
[I don't want to get drawn into your other thread - the notifications system on this forum is a mess - so I'll just mention it here: Octopus generate a bill whenever you submit a meter reading. If you were able to switch to them (seems it may not be possible now) then you could give them a first reading on whatever date the switch may be completed, then monthly on the 1st of each month thereafter. Whether you can get your DD to sync up with the reading/billing date straight away I don't know.]1 -
The confusion about standing charges is made worse by consumer magazines offering the wrong advice.
One well-known publication states that the current SVT standing chargers are capped by Ofgem, and are agreed upon with suppliers. The current average usage/ yearly spend of £2500 includes standing charges and VAT. But suppliers set the standing charge. But is it fixed until April 2023?. And then who will fix it0
