Plumbing for new home with pipe gushing water under the sink

Hi All,
Any suggestions about blocking off this pipe will be much appreciated!
Please see photo attached.
Previous owners have disconnected their appliance (?washing machine) & left a pipe under the sink that's not connected to anything. It's gushing water if I try use the sink, and I'mdesperateforasolution.
Guessed we needed to block this off somehow until we have our own appliances, but can't find any cap that will fit. Got a few different sizes off amazon, & they're too big or too small. B&Q were no help, and we've bought a blanking cap, but won't fit because this isn't a simple pipe end.
Help please!

What size is it? Measure it and I'll link you in to the screwfix item
Alternatively measure it then wander into a plumbers merchants and tell them you want a trap blanking cap in that size1 -
You want a blanking plug/cap. Something like this - https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-s23u-multifit-blanking-plug-white-32mm/73053 - You need to be careful as there are different sizes for under-sink waste plumbing. If you can remove the Tee section, take it with you when you go shopping... It might be better to replace the whole section with a straight bit of pipe if you don't need a connection for a washing machine. If you do want to plumb in a WM, then one of these is needed - https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-hose-connector-40mm/48625 (again, available in different sizes).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

If you want to use it for an appliance by a hose/appliance connector that comes with a little plug for the end of it.
I believe Freebears' floplast hose connector comes with a little black plug at the end - just check its actually going to fit by taking the tee into the store.
This I believe is the complete section including tee (check the size though!)- https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-appliance-trap-adaptor-white-40mm/111801 -
As SR says, pretty sure FB's second suggestion will fit, and it does come with a wee blanking cap if a hose isn't being connected.Future-proofed in case you do want to add an appliance.0
