EDF Energy should I Fix or not

You are only in credit if you have just had a bill, when was the last time they billed you ?
If you do not take the fix, with such a large credit you should get your DD reduced to around £75.
That may still mean you are building some credit over the summer months but come October when the cap changes again and the cooler weather arrives you will be able to eat into that credit balance without having to immediately up your payments.
As you are probably realising, keeping on top of your energy bills requires quite an effort but to avoid nasty shocks, do a monthly assessment of where you are.1 -

Read your meter and give the readings to EdfNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
@Robin9 the OP has only been in the property since April and has paid 3 x £153 since then.
They said they recently supplied meter readings and have been billed for 65 days on the account for £182.71 therefore remain over £270 in credit with only the last 3 weeks or so of usage unbilled.
As for the actual question, whether to take the fix, because the usage figures are over such a short period giving a meaningful answer is rather difficult.0
