How do I add my middle from my birth certificate to my ID

My birth certificate has my middle name on it which I have never used in the past and I would like to add it to my driving license/Passport ID etc however its proofing to be very difficult. Anyone have any ideas. I can't even change it on my bank details as they require ID such as a passport or a Driving license.

Apply for a new driving licence in the full name https://www.gov.uk/change-name-driving-licence

then use that and your birth certificate as ID to change passport and bank account.

Your middle name should have really been included in your passport/DL if it says it on your birth certificate.

I have just posted my new photo and updated middle name to DVLA.
I attempted to do it online, but it failed. I got a D1 form from the Post Office

To change the name that's currently on your licence, you have to use www.gov.uk/change-name-driving-licence.

Your birth certificate should be enough evidence that the middle name has always been yours.

once you get your driving licence back, submit your passport application with a change name deed and send it in with your old passport and driving licence to show you use your middle name for all purposes
