    Why didn't you just carry on with stage 2 appeal and wait and see if the POPLA appeal was won or lost? It was the same £100 in play all through.

    There was no point at all in paying. You've been scammed. 

    If today was the last day to pay at the bribe/discount level, then I would email a complaint to the BPA. They might at least be able to get the extra £40 refunded as a 'goodwill gesture' (LOL) as this was day 14.

    Should not have paid this at all. It wasn't a fine.

    Totally agree but wife jumped the gun.
    wouldn’t have hurt to continue appeal

    It was a mistake to pay it (at any level) and utterly unnecessary. I wish more people knew this.

    Do the BPA complaint to try to get £40 back.

    Come back at least to get revenge, make a real difference for the future and do the Govt Public Consultation...see top thread by MSE_JC
