Hoppa Airport Transfer Refund

Hello,

I recently had a flight to Cyprus cancelled which means I can't use my airport transfer that I booked with Hoppa.

They're asking for a letter from the airline to provide the reason that the flight was cancelled.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has had this requested from them before and what exactly the letter is supposed to look like?

Honestly, I thought because I bought the enhanced refund policy, that I wouldn't need to go through all these hoops to get a refund, but here we are...

Thanks

They are presumably concerned about "undue enrichment" where you claim the cost from the airline as the cancellation was their fault and then claim from the refund policy too meaning you're in profit rather than in a neutral position

Yeah, I'm on the phone with the airline now and they did say that they may be able to reimburse me the costs themselves as they wouldn't usually provide this sort of letter.

Currently on hold as they're speaking to someone about it. I'll let you know what response I get.

Ok, so it seems that I can claim it through the airline rather than through Hoppa.

So I will try that and see how that goes. The person on the phone said it shouldn't be a problem because they're doing it for other people.
