Cashback denied on HP printer bought from Currys

I purchased a HP OfficeJet Pro 9019 printer from Currys with a £70 cashback offer.
There were no terms and conditions at all mentioned on the Point of Sale material (not even a note that terms and conditions existed), but when I registered the claim HP required a subscription to HP Instant Ink to qualify for the offer. I already use HP Instant Ink, which HP say disqualifies me from receiving the cashback.
HP Provided a copy of the Terms and Conditions of the offer, and there is a requirement for a HP Instant Ink subscription, but this was not made clear when I made the purchase and nowhere in the Terms and Conditions does it mention this has to be a "new" subscription.
I am writing to Currys to complain that their PoS material was misleading and I also plan to contact Trading Standards.
I am thinking about making a County Court claim.
Has anyone else experienced this or had any success in receiving the cashback?

Yes but quite a few years ago they didnt pay out on a HP OfficeJet top model bought in store to replace a mail order one returned and claimed for. Got no where after a couple of months with instore bought item, just a straight forward cash back with no ink ties.Ony lasted a couple of years, glad to see the back of the thing with chipped dated cartridges full but couldnt use.
