Window Cleaner Cost on a 5 bed 2 storey house? Midlands area

Looking to get some quotes for a window cleaner but wanted an idea of the average cost so I know whether someone is trying to shaft me before I ask the question!

What are others being charged?

our 3 bed semi in yorkshire cost £10. That was for 7 normal windows, a 3 sided bay window, a patio door and a glass porch at the side of the house with another 3 windows.

It was done with a bucket and squegee. I would avoid the guys who want to use the long reach poles and RO water as I find it doesn't dry properly and still leaves water marks.

I live in London and did live in the midland when i was little. That is cheap. We pay 35 every two months but we have told him to run his rag over the cills/frames as well.
  • Not long after I posted this I spotted a guy on our estate. Turns out he charges £14 and comes every 6 weeks. Every 6 weeks is probably a bit much but hey, at £14 I think that's pretty cheap - 22 windows, 2 door windows, 1 set of patio doors.

£8 for a 4 bed detached in S Yorkshire. 2x 3 sided bays, patio door and 1 window downstairs, upstairs 2 bedroom windows each on front and back, bathroom and en-suite on sides. Appears randomly every 4-6 weeks.

    Seems we're getting a bargain  :D

It will be interesting to hear how long the window cleaner continues calling.  We have had several over the years.  They come a few times and then just disappear.

We pay £10 for a 4 bed detached house. 5 windows, 2 doors, one patio door downstairs, one landing window, 6 windows upstairs, one door and window on double garage.  He turns up every 6 weeks.  He doesn't do the upstairs window sills, but not complaining for that price.  The cost hasn't gone up over the past 10 years.  They gave up handing us the Watchtower magazine 20 years ago!
