Morning everyone,
I too had issues connecting this morning - very odd. Lovely and bright here. I went for a walk after work last night as when I WFH I rarely leave the house and it's getting me down. Decided to try for an early morning run today, so was up at 6am and managed 3km which I'm pleased with. Will go again on Thursday and see if I can make this a regular habit.
Dinner tonight will be SW chicken, potato and kale bake. One load of washing on the line and second about to finish. Will be taking DS2 for his final Maths A Level exam at lunchtime. Just one more to go - Computer Science on Friday at 9am! DH will be going away tomorrow so will be me taking him.
Hugs to all those feeling down - TA and maddiemay hope you have better days.

Morning all, thanks nmlc. Lovely and bright here. I need to water the pots and the hanging basket at the front.Yesterdays physio went well for DH. The swelling has gone down quite a bit and he is pretty sure it's ligament damage. I've had that myself so I know it's painful, so no work yet. I did a big shop at Al di while he was in with the physio. As I was coming out spotted DN's new MIL with DGNephew, we got to know her better at the recent wedding & chatted for a few mins until DGN got restless
Izzy glad the shoes have helped.TA hope your day out helps you feel brighterGers sorry to hear HH health problems. It must be so isolating when both sight and hearing are failing. I think Bella went to Cuba too, just after we left for Greece.Taff pottery sounds fun! Dp1, sorry you're not great againWe bbq'd last night, some kebabs and chicken wings from my earlier shop, with roasted veg. Thinking salad tonight, I have more of the soft rolls in the bm as they proved very popular with the menfolk.I think DH wants to check out the hospice shop for some books, luckily the car is automatic and isn't too hard to get in and out of.Hope you all have a good day and the poorly ones feel a bit better x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it's going to be another lovely sunny day today and about 23 degrees.
I think I overdid things yesterday, I even did some ironing 😯 so today I'm feeling the after effects, I just can't seem to get the balance right. Today some gentle garden pottering and reading in the sun will be on the cards and that's it. I did find my new book, it was staring me in the face but I was looking for a blue dust jacket and it turns out it was white, doh !
Mr Fix It has his 4th jab this afternoon so I'll go along for the ride as it's in the college where DD did her A levels, sadly the old building is no longer used as they've opened a new super college about 2 miles away. Tea will be the last of the turkey in a curry so I'll make that before we go then I only have to heat it up and cook some rice.
Hugs to those having problems with computers or daily life and anyone feeling down in the dumps or under the weather.
Gers thanks for the info on Hester and I'm sorry that her health has declined. I think Bella is jet setting and now in Cuba.
Camelot no worries, the way he was performing he'll be lucky to see his next birthday 😂
TA well done to DGD. Hope you enjoy your time out with your BFF.
Izzy fingers crossed the shoes continue to improve the pain in your feet.
Take care all, enjoy the day

Gers, thanks for the recipes, Steve had suggested the slow cooker but I didn't think that would work but I shall try these. I might sub the smoked pancetta for chicken to make a more summery dish. Laura is off salad at the moment so I'm trying to come up with light, non-acidic dishes.
Izzy, I'm glad the shoes are helping.
Nanny, it's disheartening to feel well enough to do things but then pay for it the next day, I'm a lot better now but when I was working I used to limp through the weeks sometimes.10 -
Morning! Sunny! Friend came to fetch jacket, was very impressed, said it was better than she imagined it could be [ small glow od pride there], she said she'd pay, I said let's barter, so I have made a shopping order of food and future food from her website, jams, chutneys etc, a christmas pud, sloe gin, so we have both come away thinking we've done well....I wasn't going to be making much this year, nothing is growing because it's been eaten, and she has some fab names for hers and recipes I wouldn't have thought of making...Scarlet Witch Jam is chocolate and raspberry frinstance.... nom.... Shifted four wheelbarrows of stones, probably another four to go...I scared the neighbour who thought I looked like I was going to collapse, no no, I reassured her, I'll be fine after I sit down for a bit. I think I'll have to collect paint today, so I might as well go to the reclamation place and see if they have anything I can use as edging. Missed out on some foor tiles offered on freecycle...Izzy, glad they are helping you, watch out you don't become Imelda Marcos like me now...
Coxy, big up the running! Nanny, enjoy the pottering, just do that for a bit...TA, sorry you were down, glad you're feeling less so now. maddie/dp1,hope the effects go sharpish..brain fog is no fun at all...Rosy, you're making me crave bread with your tales of homemade
Be nice to yourselves today, you are allowed
