Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was disjointed menfolk had takeaway fish and chips, I had a snack as was late home. Not sure what we'll be eating tonight.
Yesterday work was ok but a long day and today will be the same.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Overcast and drizzly this morning after yesterday's glorious sunshine. It's meant to get a bit better later in the day but no sunshine on the horizon.
I finished the power washing (hurrah), just need a few dry days to get the oil down now, it'll need cleaning again by the time that happens!
Work was incredibly busy yesterday but the day flew by. We have the P7 show this morning, it's actually quite funny and the most surprising children are taking the lead roles which is good to see. We also have the staff pot luck lunch, I've got a big dish of strawberries, cherries and grapes to get safely there on the bus. The bus could be busy as the trains are on strike today.
Hoping you're all doing well, sorry Nanny I thought the gift was for your Dad's birthday, completely forgot it was Father's Day!
Take care. XX9 -
Morning folks. It's a damp start this morning, seems that we are destined for warm showers all day. Yesterday I was able to be outside in the garden for a couple of hours. 😀 I cut back the hugely overgrown clematis and loped some low-hanging branches from the the lovely black elder tree, some had been damaged by the high winds, and then sat back in the sun to listen to my audiobook.I had a long chat with number one nephew who has, after all this time, been struck by the Covid virus. Luckily, he's not too bad, just very tired and sleeping a lot.As for today, I'm clearing out unwanted bedding so will be matching up sets. I hope that CS accept it all. I'm certainly over-provided with bedding, it's one of my weaknesses.I hope that everyone is doing OK. Lots of people are missing again so I wish them well. Happy Tuesday and summer solstice to all.11

Hi nmlc and everyone else.
I've been awake since 4.00, annoyingly so I came down with Esben because I know Laura was up late finishing a presentation, I thought I was finished with all this angst after Chris left uni but here I am 20 years later going through it all again. Oh well, it will be over by next Thursday thank goodness.
Laura and Brian were both late back last night so Esben was in the bath when Brian got back and waiting for mummy in his pyjamas but he'd been very good all day. I made a courgette risotto for dinner, it was delicious but reminded me why I don't often make risotto, all that stirring!
We had an infestation of ants on the kitchen floor, hundreds of the things seemed to have found a hole in the kitchen floor, under a cupboard. Hopefully we've managed to get rid of them now.
Esben has nursery today but he seems very tired so I hope he's ok, he always seems reluctant to go but nursery say he has a great time.
Have a good day.

Morning all
Been missing for a few days as laptop playing up again, I hope everyone is well ?
Off to work for me but I finish at lunch time today as I have a Dr's appointment so hopefully I will get home a bit earlier, depends how long I have to wait.
Dinner tonight will be chicken with mash and salad, the chicken was cooked and cut up yesterday so just the mash and salad to do later, the dogs enjoyed all the picky bits off of the chicken.
DW to empty this morning and I will put a wash on before I go, dd is off today so she can hang it out.
Have good days all xxx9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Sorry I have been missing in action for a couple of days. "Stuff" got on top of me and I have felt a bit down in the dumps and nothing to write about really. I have been in sloth mode, just sitting in the sun reading with the odd breaks to pull a few weeds up and water all the dried up pots.
There was great excitement at the w/e as youngest DGD was told by ballet teacher she is now ready to go into pointes... She had an appointment on Saturday for the necessary measuring up and I got lots of photos sent in various different poses wearing them!
Today is another beautiful one and I am meeting my BFF for our usual Tuesday coffee morning and lunch day. We should be sitting outside today I am sure but it will have to be in the shade as BFF has been told to keep out of the sun whilst on the chemo.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Take care and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning everyone couldn’t get on this morning don’t know what happened just wouldn’t work so I am dashing out of the door back at 5 the fitflop trainers arrived just as I was leaving yesterday so put them straight on it was heaven I have tried every shoe going and these are like magic I even went for a short walk when I finished work last night yes my feet are still painful but not to the extent where I could barely walk I can’t believe the difference they made instantly and I am living in hope this is going to eventually clear up sorry to moan but on Sunday I was ready just to sit down and cry because everything hurt feet knees hips back the lot now I feel like I am walking on air what a difference. So Gers if you see someone floating bast yo with toned arms and a down Gilet on it’s me must run have a good day everyone9

Morning all. Longest day of the year and it is nice and sunny here.
Pottering yesterday plus made a spiced ginger cake, which will get stickier as the days go by, if it lasts that long. Also made broccoli and stilton soup to use up a few bits.
Today I'm doing childcare for DGS and then DH is taking over and staying until the evening as DS has to go out for a while. This now means I have to take the slow cooker over in the car and leave something cooking for them all as I have to be back here to get changed and go out at about 6.30pm. Must check the route of where I'm going actually.
Had my gel nails removed yesterday; didn't realised they were softened and then scraped off! Never mind, it's lovely to have normal nails again plus they were cut very neatly for me, far neater than when I do them myself.
Off to get ready so have a lovely day everyone.10 -

I used to make this https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/international/european/italian-recipes/oven-baked-wild-mushroom-risotto a lot, it's really easy and very tasty too. This next one I've never made but it sounds delicious so I'll store up the recipe for autumn - https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/international/european/italian/oven-baked-smoked-pancetta-and-leek-risottoTA - congratulations to DGD, what a thrill for her. And sorry you've been in the dumps, I hope that the sunshine and your BFF will help lift your spirits.Welcome back Ruby. Enjoy your childcare Wicked Lady.I've looked at Hard Up Hester's blog this morning, she's not doing so well just now, she reports that both her eyesight and her hearing are worsening, she sounds really isolated. I hope that she is getting some help though I doubt it.Is Bella away on holiday? I have vague thoughts of Cyprus but could be mistaken. My being up and dressed was somewhat forced, the router was playing up and needed a kick up the power socket to behave so I'm now downstairs. There's lots of very low cloud over the whole estuary but I have opened the front door for some air, it seems fairly mild for now.8 -
Good morning all. Another one here who has been MIA. Covid has left us feeling really weary and a bit down, add in hay fever and an IBS flare doesn't bode well for cheery chat. Trek to Birmingham today, Consultant wants bloods re-done and at their lab so they can make a better comparison with last month's, this will take up most of the day, but at least we can call back via a M&S store to top up some nice bits for our holiday (and new knickers for me).
Lovely and sunny here, hugs and spoons as needed, take care. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)9 -
Morning everyone
It was a beautiful day yesterday and I sat outside for ages after I got back from work. Today it is cloudy and feels cooler!
I'm not going to work today as I've felt dizzy the last few days and head is very 'fuzzy' - annoying as I had a good week last week.
So I'll clean the bathroom and get the towels washed and then just have a lazy day.
MaddieMay - sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well
Gers - sad to hear Hester isn't having a good time. Was Bella in Cuba?
IzzyBee - good news that the trainers worked
TA - I bet your grand daughter was so excited
Sorry if I've missed anyone - I have no memory just now!
Hope everyone has a good day x
