DCB legal solicitors letter

Just opened a not so nice letter from dcb legal solicitors. I was wondering and would be grateful for help/ advice. I don’t understand all this legal jargon as of a certain age.

Please re-read the post by @Coupon-mad on 4 July 2021 at 5:42PM on one of your other threads.

Is it now five threads we have about one parking incident in August 2017?

Only two months until it is out of time.

Your pictures above contain enough information to uniquely identify you and your parking incident.
    DCBL's reference number is showing.
Spring Parking's PCN number is showing.
Your vehicle's registration number is showing.
You do understand that the parking companies trawl this forum just waiting for people to trip themselves up.

I too am of a certain age - whatever that means.    ;)

In one of the threads sbout this case, you said:
" Think it was an overnight overstay in car park of Tesco express. "
What do you mean? You left your car there all night?

Or do you mean that the ANPR camera images got it wrong and it was in fact 2 visits?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Stop starting new threads every time you get a letter, and please come back here and answer questions/comments put to you.
You can't get help without following this through and engaging with the regulars on here, what on earth does "a certain age" actually mean in this context I am 67 so what?

No I went in to pick up some groceries. Was in there for 10 mins. However they seem to think I was in there for hours. I mean its a Tesco express!!! If I wanted to stay there for longer my mother in law lived round the corner. There’s ample spaces on the main road.

I have nothing to hide. If they want to take me court I will gladly attend. I never done anything wrong. I’ve never had a ticket or points or anything in my life. I always pay extra so I don’t get stiffed after. Like I said if I wanted to park there for sooo long I’d have parked on the main road or my mother in laws house round the corner. If it was genuine I’d own up and pay it

You need to respond by email and point out that this is what's known as a 'double dip'.  Even the new Government Code of Practice (not implemented yet) calls it that because I told them about it!

Read this from the BPA trade body:
    https://www.britishparking.co.uk/ANPR

"As with all new technology, there are issues associated with its use:

    a)    Repeat users of a car park inside a 24 hour period sometimes find that their first entry is paired with their last exit, resulting in an ‘overstay’. Operators are becoming aware of this and should now be checking all ANPR transactions to ensure that this does not occur."

    and read this old discussion:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5550336/double-dip-parking-list-of-cases

That is what happened to you that day.

You need to tell the parking firm to find the 'orphan images' in between the 'first in, last out' pics their system wrongly defaulted to, and insist they cancel this PCN or you will counterclaim for abuse of your data.
