Thank you for your help on this, statement of truth added.

Do I need to make any attempt to contact CEL (apart from my pending SAR)?

I have applied for a SAR from the DVLA too, are there any steps I have missed? As my whole argument is based on procedures not being met, I don't want to fall foul of them myself?

Finally, I had letters from DCBL sent to my new address on 31st March 2022, but I ignored them as a scam, as we are now 3 months down the line, could it look like I have been time wasting before applying for a set aside?

No.  You only actually had the honest belief you had a CCJ recently.  That's the truth.

This is CEL's fault. No you don't have to contact them.

"1.5.2 I discovered a County Court Judgement (CCJ)"  -  typo  -  erroneous middle "e" in Judgment

I will definitely change that misspelling, thanks.

A quick question on format of my Appendices, I have taken a look at @jrhys witness statement, but it's slightly different. How do I present a copy of a scanned in council tax statement? Do I import into MS Word to add the title along with my name and claim number and then save back into a PDF?

I don't think jrhys' case was a CCJ set aside was it? If not, then look at the case by @Jack5656 or any other CCJ thread (just browse thread titles).  Easy to find them.

No it wasn't but on @Jack5656 case it was used as an example of how to set out a WS, but it didn't show how to present the Appendix, which is where I'm now at before I send of the N244 tomorrow.

Before I send off, can I just check that WS should be sent as a PDF and DO be sent as a Word doc, is that correct?

    That is correct.

And don't disappear from the forum over the next month or so, please.

Come back regularly this Summer to check when the final Govt Public Consultation opens, discussed here:

You will want your voice heard, I am sure. The industry has currently blocked the lowest level of parking charges AND the ban on false 'extortion' of enhancing the parking charge by £70 - the money that funds the race to court.

My hearing is next week, I am happy enough with my argument to press for a mandatory set aside, but will I need to have an argument of why the parking ticket shouldn't have been issued in the first place?

In reality, all I have is that it was dark and that the sign may not have made it clear that there would be a fine?

Secondly, before my hearing, should I be sending anything to CEL? Do I need to send them my WS?
