issues with Tax Reclaim PPI Ltd

Has anyone asked this company to act on their behalf to claim back tax paid on previous PPI claims up to and including 2018. only then received P800 notifications for April 2017 to April 2018, April 2018 to April 2019 & April 2019 to April 2020 all on the same date 9th June 2022 from HMRC advising that refunds were and are due for personal tax for all tax years and that all refunds have been and are going to be sent to this same company TAX RECLAIM PPI LTD
I never signed up for this but only for Plevin PPI tax refund - after contacting HMRC today they advised that this company contacted them and submitted forms with my signature on them in November 2021 & again in June of this year.
I haven't authorised this -I believe that this company scanned my signature from original PPI tax claim only and then used this to claim these fraudulently.
I have googled this company and see that there are 1000's of queries regarding this company and that they aren't contactable by telephone or company email as mailboxes are full.
I am livid at this as when I contacted HMRC this morning this isn't the first or only bogus company swindling people. They advised me to report to the police and that they would note my account of my query and statement made questioning this claim by this company as fraudulent .
Do you think as a forum I should call Action Fraud to pursue this further? I  need advise to get this halted please

What do you think you can halt?

Did HMRC say they had received something called a deed of assignment?
You might find this a useful read.

I never signed up for this
You almost certainly did.  It is likely you signed a deed of assignment. This is what causes your issue to occur.

If you think you were scammed (and you say you were in your post) then yes.  Although it typically wont make a difference as the police are too busy monitoring facebook posts to deal with real crime.

They are overdue on their accounts at companies house as well.
