EDF - 14 Day cooling off period - Email address to request cancellation of Fix?
Hi,
I inadvertently clicked on a link in an Email from EDF offering the June24 Fix (One Click Fix
). Being slightly horrified, that I have fixed us into a 2 year higher rate with £150 exit fee, I want to cancel the Fix whilst I have the opportunity. I was going to take our chances on the variable rate. Can someone give me the email address to request this, I don't seem to be able to find it on their subsequent emails other noreply@edf...
Many thanks

Given the latest October cap estimate of near three grand you might want to look again at the numbers on any fix.

Anyone coming off a fix right now can expect extreme pain and probably at least a doubling of their actual bills.
What is EDF's prediction of your new DD if you move onto the SV rates ?
IF the DD amounts matches your actual use in kWh (do your sums) then that fix may not be too bad at given the predictions for this coming October.
The fix DOES NOT lock you into £350/month, that is just the estimated DD and may change with your actual usage.

Here is the 1 click fix email...
And this is the email confirming the fix...
I'm finding this all a bit bizarre to be honest and when I accidently clicked though it said approx £350 per month.. and I thought it said £225 for the standard variable. It all seems a bit strange and alarm bells are ringing, hence wanting to cancel.
Thank you for your time looking at this for me.

What are the unit rates you have been offered?
Do you know how many KWh gas and electricity you are using in a 12 months?
Electricity and gas were predicted to increase to 40 to 42p for electricity and 11 to 11.8p for gas in October, but today another increase was predicted that might bring it up to well over 43p and over 12p.1 -

If you have not cancelled you should give it a good think, I believe the first fixed have been withdrawn already.

@Sarahjovi the contract says your DD will not change immediately but at your next review.
On that basis you'll be underpaying by a considerable amount until the review and then it will increase by an even larger amount to play catch up.
They even advise you (in bold) to increase your monthly payments now to avoid future debt !
PS. As usual, @pochase's calculations look bang on.
