Barbados accommodation needed

I am thinking about a trip to Barbados and am looking for some mid-range accommodation, as the flights can be got through my BMI miles(-:
Has anyone got any recommendations for villa rentals (for two) or mid range accommodation (B&B or room only, 3* & above) ? I want to arrange this independently.
I would be grateful for any help ! Also, which part of Barbados is the best (South or West Coast). I am more interested in good restaurants and a nice beach, rather than a busy nightlife.

The south is best for nightlife. Holetown is good too, especially the street party on sunday nights. West coast has good beaches but I like to be where its all happening , and that's Oistins and The Gap.
Absolutely superb place, enjoy!0 -
I have to agree with the previous post. We went to Barbados a few weeks ago, fab place. We hired a car and went round the whole of the Island, we actually preferred the beaches on the South Coast. We stayed at the Gap. We chatted to the rep who was a local girl and asked what beach on the West Coast would be the best to visit, she said that in her opinion the South Coast beaches were better.
Where ever you choose to stay, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Can't wait until I can afford to go again.0
