Am I correct in thinking that you were measured in the shop where "this isn't just any bra this is an x bra" then in my experience they were useless.
I have mine measured at Victoria Secret and they have been spot on every time. I have yet to have an uncomfortable bra from them. They can be pricey depending on how fancy you would like your undies to look. I like that they cater for several different boob shapes so you can find what works for you.
Fantasie bras are also good but they tend to be mainly lacy and show under tighter clothing.
Good luck in your search.
I hadn't thought about Victoria's secret, I will check them out.
I'll also check out Fantasie bras although I'm not keen on them showing too much.

a few years ago an independent bra shop opened near me and i havent looked back. the lady that owns it fits surgical bras as well and has years of experience to the point that I walked in and she picked me out 3 bras without even measuring me!! yes they are expensive (around £30-35) but they fit me and i am comfortable for the first time
they are in maldon but if you arent near there then maybe there is an independent near you that might be worth trying0 -
The absolute best thing you can is to read this https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide/ and follow the process of measuring and understanding how bras and breasts work. You can post on https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/ if you need help with any of it. They're a super-supportive (pun intended) and incredibly knowledgeable group - I'm an H cup and they helped me find wired bras which are supportive and comfortable enough to sleep in (not that I would, but just to show that comfort is possible). Be warned though, it can be a process that requires a fair bit of effort and expense - and you might end up like me, unable to tolerate anything other than the £50-£60 bras that could have been custom made for me1
