Hi, I currently am at the end of year 1 in my 3 year PCP deal on a brand new Nissan Qashqai. It’s now due its first service, my question is do I need to get this done through a Nissan garage to keep the warranty? I have had conflicting answers.
Thank you
Thank you

You don't need to to keep your warranty as long as whoever does the service follows the manufacturer guidelines and uses approved parts but you may find your PCP contract specifies that you get the service done via the dealer network.1

As above, there’s also the warranty, should something go wrong Nissan may scrutinise the service record to make sure everything has been followed to the letter, otherwise they will try to wriggle out of fixing it and make you pay for repairs.1

Best get it serviced by Nissan. You won't save much going elsewhere, and if you do go elsewhere you miss out on software updates (there are always updates to the stupid "crash imminent- Panic Panic Panic!!!" system) and little fixes that Nissan don't release to the general trade. You also have a much easier time with warranty claims, and as shiraz99 says it isn't your car until you pay the finance off, so you have to go with what the owner says regarding servicing unless you intend to keep it.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

When booking your service ask them how much it will be.
Then ask them if they can offer you a better price.
You might be surprised at what they offer you.

Also ring around as dealers charge different amounts.
Ive taken out a service plan with a different main dealer, but have to travel an extra hour.
After extra costs I save £85 a service.0
