Epoxy damp proof membrane

We've just extended the concrete floor of our garage. When it rains , water trickles down the door onto the small lip of exposed concrete ( In front of garage door)
The water then starts to soak into the concrete and track inside the garage. I'm thinking of painting an epoxy damp proof membrane on the extended concrete part. Or would just sealing the concrete have the same effect and is a great deal cheaper?
Any thoughts on advantages/ disadvantages of each method would be appreciated. Thanks

There is a rubber strip and adhesive which you put along just inside the door, it stops water getting under the door and worked very well for me. This link shows something similar to what I got

Yes, thanks for that. The only thing with those is that water will still soak into the concrete if it's not sealed in some way.Murmansk said:There is a rubber strip and adhesive which you put along just inside the door, it stops water getting under the door and worked very well for me. Well it won't go into the garage with the rubber strip there - I'm surprised if water soaks into the concrete?
