Hello,
I have recently come into contracting and opted for Umbrella company, looking to understand the payslip as, when comparing to an online tax calculator,  there seems to be a discrepancy between the online tax (showing take home as  3343.62) compared to the money I am getting through umbrella company 2997.76, the only thing I can understand is the company Margin that if I took off from online calculator will be(3343.62-80 = 3,263.62), other than that I cant figure out why can some one please clarify for me? tia

You are starting with £4830.00 whereas the actual figure should be £4209.50
The employers NI and Apprentice levy have to be deducted as well as the £80
This is how Umbrella payments work.

The elements comprising the calculation between £4,830 and £4,209 are shown in the top left box "Company Income Received".

As and when auto-enrolment kicks in there will be a further adjustment.  Increasing pension contributions is a common consideration for UC workers.

Thankyou for that, makers sense now.
Also another questions if you don't mind.
I am currently having Tax code as S1257L, but my umbrella company and the agency both having offices in England, so I was expecting to have  the code 1257L or does this code depends on the end client base?
I am planning to move to England as I work mostly from Home and also the end client has presence in England if I needed to go to office, so is it something I can ask the Agency/Umbrella/end-client to change the Tax code once I made the move to England.

Your tax code is based on your domicile and not where you work or who you are employed by.  If you move to England HMRC will set your tax according to where you have lived for the majority of the year (not where you have earned most / less).  It is nothing to do with your employer etc, they do what they are told by HMRC.
