After 5 weeks it can be upgraded for an extra fee if travelling within two weeks and expedited its been in for over 10 weeks (free upgrade)0

It's tempting to think these rules have been drafted deliberately to confuse us!That is my understanding of the rules. The validity of the return date is more than 3 months from the expiry date shown on the passport which confuses the issue even further. I think it's that element which has caused so much confusion with airline check in.It would have made far more sense if all the rules tied in with the passport issue date. Sadly that's far too simple.0
