NatWest/Coutts Investment Account

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone has invested with NatWest/Coutts and would be willing to share their experience? I am considering using their multi-asset fund to invest c. £400k.

Have you considered taking advice from an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA)?

Thanks very much Eyeful. I'll take a look at the links. I have met an an independent as well. They are both fairly expensive the main difference between advice being that the bank encouraged me to be more cautious than the independent. Not that he seemed reckless!

Have you "shopped round" at all? It might be worth checking on independent advisers in your area and checking on services/fees etc.

Tick "confirmed independent" when the menu comes up and the other specialisms required.

Does this mean you have taken financial advice from Nat West/Coutts (and they have of course recommended their own product) ? Your OP gave the impression that you are making your own investment decision?
Do you know what the charges are? For the fund and the advice ?

Most regular posters on here do not take/pay for financial advice ( although some do ), so just want to clarify if you are going down the financial advice route or the DIY route?

There is a difference between an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA),  a Financial Adviser(FA). It would in your interest to understand the difference between them.  If you do not already understand the difference between them, the following may be of interest to you.
