Different charges depending on what part of the country you live in.

Why is this allowed? Yet again those in the south expected to pay more as they do for everything else. Why?

I believe London has the cheapest rates. The expensive rates are in the most rural areas, such as South West

The short answer is because the infrastructure costs are different. It's not totally unreasonable.

The actual rates charged don't support your claim that "those in the south expected to pay more". North Wales and Mersey have the highest overall electricity charges.

Can't quite work out that table especially electricity price for North Wales and Mersea can't make it add up at 29.58p and 3100kWH probably something I am missing👍

Mighty just be the beers I've had can't make hardly any of it add up lol.

Ofgem's cap totals are ex-VAT, the daily and unit rates include it.
"Ppd and ppkWh incl. 5% VAT" as it says at the top of the table :)
