Ballpark labour cost for replacing 2 toilets

Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone has a very rough figure for labour costs to replace 2 toilets?  It should involve very minimal pipework.  Just trying to get an idea in my head as to costs.

Many thanks.

M.

Are you supplying the new toilets?

Labour only should be around half a days work for a plumber if it's a straight swap so expect to pay between £150-£200.

Obviously the cost of the toilet will vary depending on what you want - cheapest toilets cost from around £50 each.

A good handyperson could do this sort of job too and might save you a bit of money over a plumber.

If it's a straight like-for-like replacement, no change in the location of the toilet, no (or minimal) changes to pipework required, then it's a pretty easy DIY job for anyone with a modicum of experience.  But you're right - a "handyman" would probably be cheaper than a plumber if the OP is not confident in DIY-ing it.

Thank you.  I'm happy to supply my own toilets after showing what I'd intend to buy to any prospective toilet fitter.  I'll see if I can find details of a handyman who might be able to do this!

I would estimate a charge for a full day to permit travel time and potentially disposal of the old toilets.  Check with them that they will be doing that as disposal isn't always included in the price.  Top end cost of about £300 all in.
