How long to hear from HMRC re inheritance tax?

Hi there,
I have recently submitted IHT400 plus all the relevant schedules to HMRC for my mother's estate. We are likely to have to pay some IHT.
I know that we should wait 21 working days before submitting our application for grant of probate.
My question is - does anyone know how long it is currently taking for HMRC to process the IHT side of things?
Thanks!

I've just received the statement of account for my mother's estate and that took almost exactly 4 weeks. Unfortunately the bank (NATwest) is taking even longer than that to pay the IHT despite submitting the request on the same day.

Thank you, Spacie22, for your reply. Can I just check, please, what the "statement of account" is exactly? (Is it telling you what you owe in IHT?)
And when you say the bank is taking longer to pay the IHT - did you sign up for the "Direct Payments scheme" when you filled in IHT400?0 -
yes it's 2 sheets showing the calculations and giving an amount to pay. (they are labelled IHT301 and IHT302).and yes it's a direct payment from her bank.0

Thank you Spacie22 - very helpful.
News from here is that I may have broken some kind of record. I posted the IHT forms on 10/6, and today (18/6) I received the 2 page statement of account, re how much IHT owed (IHT301 and IHT 302).0 -
^^^ FIVE working days!
How simple was your IHT submission?0 -
Yes - 5 working days!
I have nothing to compare to, but think it was a fairly straightforward IHT submission (she had a house, S&S ISA, and a few other savings). To give you a sense of it, I had to fill in IHT 400, 405, 406, 407, 409, 410, 411 plus 421 and 435. I was pretty meticulous with attaching evidence, and checking and double checking, plus wrote a covering letter of everything that was enclosed.0
