Applying for loan-wrong address
Options
Hi all,
searched the forums and couldn’t get the answer I needed.
I have moved house, so changed address with banks and I did do the electoral roll. However the credit score apps are still showing as my old address. If I apply for a loan at my new address, will it just fail as the address hasn’t been updated yet?
many thanks

No, though it may fail because a change of address can lead to a higher risk assessment.0

I am renting a room, previously was living with parents. Would this change anything? As I’m not sure I’m officially down as such where I’m renting?0

If you are on the ER at the new address and have your banks there, that is fine. The free credit apps take a month or more to update, your full report may well already be update0
