Unbranded item

I bought an Armitage shanks sandringham toilet seat online but received an unbranded universal toilet seat. Can I return the item as not as described? Have booked a plumber to see whether he can fit it but disappointed as it is unbranded and was not aware of it.

Firstly, yes of course you can. You don't have to accept a different item just because there's been a mistake or similar. I wouldn't bother with the plumber as it returning it sealed and undamaged will make life a lot easier.2

Just had a phone call from customer service and was assured that it is genuinevitem directly from the manufacturer as ideal standard no longer brand their items. Not sure whether this is true. Just going to leave it as it is hopefully it will fit the toilet. At least the company responded.0

Does it match the description of the item you bought? Is it in any form of packaging with a logo or a model number you could check?
Who did you buy it from? A well-known supplier of bathroom fitments or just some random website?I need to think of something new here...0
