Morning all, we have wall to wall sunshine this morning and it's quite warm, sorry to those who are bundling up in extra jumpers !
We are now car-less as the courtesy car was collected yesterday with about an hours notice, good job we decided not to go to town, we would have had to rush back. Ours is due back today at some time between 8 and 4, what's the betting it will be nearer 4pm 🤨 I will keep myself amused by getting all the caravan soft furnishings out onto the patio to let them air. I always bring them in the house in the winter time and they haven't gone back yet so they haven't been in use since Sept 2019 😥. I shall take the scatter cushion covers off too and give them a wash as there is a load ready to be done. We didn't have the gammon last night, that's now for today as I forgotten that there was some lo roast pork in the fridge. I made a sweet and sour sauce to go with it and cooked some rice.
TA I wasn't sure about getting and air fryer either but we bought a ninja foodie max it's now in use nearly everyday. Still don't use it to it's full extent as I hate using the pressure cooker part of it but it makes all potato dishes really crispy.
Camelot hope sports day is a Ready-Steady-Go ! Sorry I'll get my coat 😂
Gers I too hate it when you need to cut the grass but can't, it's one of my bug bears.
Snoozer hugs to Laura, poor thing.
Nelski hope the house sale pans out.
Take care, hugs to all

Morning...Missed yesterday, got immersed in the sewing and did that all day more or less. the waistcoat now sports two sleeves, hand stitched into the shoulder seams and my finger now sports various holes because I didn't have a thimble...Note to self, buy a thimble. Sleeves have a bigger amount of puff. Cuffs today and soem embellishing and then that's it. Next time it will be easier to get a pattern and make one, this retro fitting something is so very annoying and more difficult. Honestly, anyone competent would have done this in a day...But I need time to think and plan and watch numerous youtube videos...
SO, sewing and hopefully some stone shifting later on...and some Italian...same old, same old...Nels, it would be so much easier if he does buy it. Plus, no commission
Nanny, well done on taming the wilderness. TA, glad to hear your friend is bearing up..ruby, snoozer, happy shed clearing! May you find many treasures...Rosy [and others] all this air fryer talk ia making me wonder should I get one...or a remoska...whats the difference between the two? Izzy, you go carefule now, sitting down like that, what is the world coming to?
mehefin, happy new pony, gorgeous! Take care all!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7 -
Afternoon all. Today here is warm, airless and mainly cloudy. The sun doesn't seem to want to stick around for very long.
SM delivery duly arrived yesterday courtesy of my favourite chap and all was present and correct. I had ordered a bonus of two freebies - a bottle of botanical sparkling soda drink (elderflower, hibiscus and geranium) and a box of 4 hazelnut ice cream filled cones with biscuit bits, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce and was delighted that I actually got them - usually any such items have gone in double quick time. I'm thinking we may enjoy those on Friday when we're supposed to get our day of the heatwave!
I managed to take a slice out of my finger yesterday when I was cutting up the roast lamb, not a big cut but quite deep and it's on the first joint of the finger so really awkward. The knife was obviously sharper than I thought. :'( That put paid to making pastry for pies and pasties so instead I bunged the left over bits of lamb into the food processor with some onion, half a pepper, a few chickpeas and seasoning and have used it topped with mashed potato for tonight's dinner with green beans.
This morning I've been to the Co-op to take back a bottle of lemonade that was supposed to be sparkling but honestly was so cloudy it looked like dishwater! It seems to be my week for complaining. Anyway, bottle swapped and of course I had a look round while I was there. There was nothing I fancied from the ys shelf but I did get a few store cupboard items that were actually cheaper there than at Sainsbobs, so a worthwhile journey.
I'm another one who loves my air fryer but strangely enough I never use it for chips. Obviously I haven't got the knack!
Take care all and don't forget the sunscreen if you're lucky enough to have the sun. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7
