Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy and warm. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was pork braised in gravy with LO mash, yorkshires, veg and gravy for the menfolk. I had LO chicken and salad. Tonight I'm not sure.
Working at the other office today but just my half day, have some jobs to do too.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your half day.
Another uncertain day weatherwise, will take my brolly just in case. Hoping for a dry day as we have sports day today, would be good to get it out of the way as we're running out of time!
Good MSE day yesterday, bus to and from work and then bought some fresh stuff from Iceland on the way home with my over 60s discount, their strawberries were absolutely delicious.
Grass cut and the greenhouse all watered, everything is growing really well, could spend hours in their pottering about. The decking is all cleared ready for a good blast tonight, really must get it done.
Hope everyone is well, have a good day. Take care. XX12 -
Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc.My hopes for dry warm weather were dashed yesterday, another day for an extra jumper. There seemed to be constant drizzle. 😕 I spent the day doing bitty jobs as they came to mind, lots of things that I've been putting off. I rewarded myself with the three ripe strawberries from my garden. The planned chicken concoction almost failed as I didn't have any sweetcorn, I only had mayonnaise. With a wee salad it was fine. Later on I roasted some red and yellow peppers which I need to skin this morning.Today will be, no doubt, another frustrating one when I can't cut the grass, I'm itching to get it done but it's too wet. Lunch will be more of the chicken, the last two thighs need eaten up. Apart from that I don't have any plans, after a busy couple of weeks I'm enjoying some down time.Hugs to our poorlies, happy Wednesday to all.13

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc.
I'm in the London office today. Nice bright start here and set to continue until the weekend I believe. I'm at the cinema tonight seeing Swan Song which is showing for one night only. DH going to meet some friends so I will be flying solo! Dinner tonight is some vegetarian sausages with rice and green veg.
Hope sports day happens Camelot!
Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning all
Nice bright day here and set in for the day I think, off to work today and just two ladies today and the young chap has the dy off, one of the ladies is the not so nice one so its always a tough day !
Shed arrived
its currently in a massive box in the hallway, OH has tomorrow off so may empty the old shed and dismantle it (shouldnt take long as its ready to fall down !) we then need to extend the base slightly and let the concerete go off then we can put the new one up, will probably be a week or so before its up but thats fine.
Dinner tonight will be something with chicken, will decide what to do with it later, we ate in the garden last night which was so lovely, need to make the most of the nice weather !
Camelot I hope sports day can go ahead !
Nels that would be fab if your mums place can sell so quickly xxx
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A lovely warm day ahead but more cloud than sun according to the local forecast. Oh well at least it's to be dry and warm so I will resume my outdoor pottering. A good sweep of the drive and paths needs to be the first job.
I had my usual good meet up with BFF yesterday. She had her new wig on and honestly you would never guess it was a wig it looked so near her natural colour too. She's still doing as she is told and eating little and often so only had soup, whereas I was tempted into fish and chips and oh the fish was beautiful. I think I shall get some of my chilli out to defrost for my tea today and have with some hm potato wedges and salad. I have got the cooking of them off to a fine art now in my air fryer! I love it and wish I had got one years ago when DD was singing the praises of hers!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. NELS it would be wonderful if DM's house was sold privately avoiding the hassle of EA's. NAN fingers crossed you get good new neighbours. Houses are going like wild fire up here, 3 on my road have sold within just a couple of months. CAMELOT fingers crossed sports day can go ahead. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Hi everyone,
Steve is on Esben watch this morning so I am taking advantage of the respite. Poor Laura was sick a lot yesterday so I have told her to stay in bed, I think it's a combination of pregnancy, tiredness and stress about her college work. Hopefully she will be able to work on her dissertation in bed.
Ruby, snap with the shed, Steve cleared ours at the weekend, I've just asked him to put the gazebo up and he told me that he had put it at the back of the garage (I was looking for a rolling eyes emoji there). Anyway, we have decided to take Esben for a bike ride while it is still cool, then he can play in his paddling pool if he wants.
Nan, I hope you get lovely neighbours.
Nels, fingers crossed for a quick sale.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning everyone
Up and about early this morning as annual gas service was booked for this morning - he arrived just before 8am - a young lad who doesn't actually look old enough to drive the van never mind do a gas service!
He's just finished now so that's done for another year.
Got some pottering about jobs to get done this morning and then work at lunchtime.
TA - I made lovely chips in my air fryer last night - I'm using it a lot at the minute.
Camelot - hope sports day happens - our reception class at school were on the field practising for it yesterday afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning everyone, and thanks nmlc for the start. I've been missing from posting for a couple of days.DH went to the physio appt to get treatment on his injured knee & has some follow up ones too. It seems he has a torn meniscus/cartilage so he has a plan with exercises & ice. He's no good just sitting around but it has made him think about the business going forward with DS2 a bit more, we'll see how it goes.I got a meat pack from my butcher yesterday- like everything else the cost has gone up a bit, will have to stretch the contents even further.I cooked the chicken from it in the Remoska, it was a bit of a squash, had to put some foil on the top as it was too near the lid but it still scorched the skin- fine underneath though and DH said it was good - I always forget I don't have a grand R anymore, just the standard.TA glad you are getting to grips with your airfryer now, love mine & use it everyday for all sorts. I've started to use the convection part of the microwave more too to cut down on the 'big oven'.Brightening up a bit now, it went warm yesterday afternoon so we sat out in the back, & now I need to feed the birds as I am getting disgusted looks from the wood pigeons!Nelski, hope you have good news about DM house!Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all; bright and sunny here today, as it was yesterday.
Two loads of washing are on the line as yesterday we completely stripped our bed and turned the mattress and also changed the duvet to the lightweight summer one. We also got the fans down out of the loft so there's one in the bedroom and one in the living room now.
Today I'll be doing the ironing and then making some biscuits for the tin, maybe ginger ones. There's also a bit of dead heading to do in the garden but nothing that can't wait. Going to have our main meal as a late lunch this afternoon and then I'm out playing music again this evening, but over an hour's drive to get there so will have to leave quite early to get there and get a parking place.
Hope others get some sunshine today.11 -
