Package or partial claim

Hi
I booked a cruise with an additional package - the package was £40 a day for drinks, internet and tips. However, the internet, advertised as "Access the internet everywhere on board so you can text, post photos, video chat and stream your favorite shows, movies, music and sports with ease" was extremely poor, less than 1 meg, so no streaming, and difficulty getting emails etc.
Looking to recover partial cost or the internet. However, as its included in the package, is the package the part that might be in breach of contract or can this be broken down?
Please, not interested in chat about broadband speeds etc, just my question answered and nothing else.
Thanks to those who are able to just answer the question Judge Judy style.

I would expect the marginal cost of the internet to be peanuts compared with whatever you could incur in drinks/tips. Get what you can as a goodwill measure.1

They should be able to break it down. As a starting point you could look at how much the individual components would have cost and then try to pro rata that to determine the packaged cost of the internet. You would then have to consider how much actual value did you get out of the available internet. You might find that you were able to do 60% of what you hoped/expected which leaves you looking for about 40% refund on the apportioned cost of the package. This assumes there was no financial loss to you.
Did you complain while onboard? They may have been able to sort it out.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!2 -
Thanks both for excellent replies
