Has anyone sold a car to an online company, such as Motorway? If so, how did you ensure you got your money?

I sold mine recently to Manheim who partner through autotrader. They quoted a higher price than the others I tried. The guy came out and knocked a couple of hundred off for some scratches but it was still £600 more than the next offer so I accepted.
Stood on my drive, I gave him my bank details and he transferred the money to my account using his iPad. He waited for about 15 minutes until I'd checked it was in my account.
He said the car was now their responsibility but left me with the keys and someone collected it 3 days later.
Sorry if it sounds like an advert but it worked for me.1 -

I actually paid bit more but the money arrived in the bank next day as i sold on Sunday and paid extra 40/50 quid
for 'faster payment.' Until I got the money I was a bit worried.0 -
The money was in my bank account before the cazoo lorry reached the end of the road.0
