Morning All
Very overcast today, could go either way. Yesterday wasn't too bad, there were some nice sunny spells, thankfully enough to get the washing almost dry.
Greenhouse all sorted, the cucumber plants are starting to spread, I have a feeling they will take over very quickly. There are far too many tomato plants so I've put them in the borders, can't bear to throw them out.
Hope you are feeling better Maddie.
Glad your DD and the DGDs are feeling better TA.
Well done on the bedroom clearing Gers.
Off to work on the bus today to save some pennies, hoping to go for a swim later.
Happy Monday, take care. XX12 -
Morning folks - thanks for starting us off nmlc.As Camelot said, very overcast here with some light drizzle in the air. Yesterday I managed to get my small amount of washing dry outside despite one extra rinse, I saw the rain coming but by the time I reached the back door it was pelting down so no point in bringing it in. Another spell of dry and windy weather soon dried it all.My weird concoction for lunch was rather enjoyable in the end so I'll bank it for another time. Today I have some eggs to eat up, I found the box hidden behind my mixer, they had a BB date of 16 May but they passed the jug of water test so got boiled and mashed up. There's another freezer sausage to eat up too. This morning I'm off to Glasgow for a dental appointment and I'll be coming straight back with a short detour to the supermarket to restock my unhappy fridge. There's only one dentist here so it's easier and faster to zoom down. It's the first regular check-up for over two years so it's almost exciting! I've had hygienist and implant appointments but not seen my actual dentist since the end of first lockdown when he did a repair to the front tooth I broke on the first day of lockdown. I've also got a bag of books to take to a CS, more from the guest bed. It's looking better though there's still stuff to rehome. My god-daughter had her first baby yesterday so another new addition to the family in Germany. She's called her Diana Linnea and she looks really healthy.I hope that everyone enjoys their day, hugs to the poorlies and a Happy Monday to all.13

Morning
Had an OK weekend and of course a PJ do “nothing day” yesterday for my sanity
Added lots to the mission sell lists over the weekend so this week could well be a busy one. Booked 2 valuations for Friday as well as the rail fitting. Wanted 3 but the agent I wanted is on holiday so that will have to wait. Think ideally I need to go and stay there for a few days in the next few weeks to really crack on but I’ll put that off for as long as possible.
Burger last night with cheese and bacon. Tonight I have piece of haddock out so maybe just a poached egg and some spinach
Today I have copious house things to do. Washing on, DW to empty and fill and tons of tidying.
Have a good day all

Morning all
Dry and bright here and it looks like a nice day, off to work for me and I have a nice Monday group so its usually a good day.
The new patio table and chairs are lovely and so much more comfortable than the old ones, we have had two bbq's this weekend so they have been well used already.
DD is making her hm pesto for dinner tonight with spaghetti, her and OH have a basil one and I have a corriander one as I cant eat basil, its a really tasty meal so I am looking forward to it.
I will put a wash on before I go to work and it can be hung on the line.
Have good days all and take care xxx11 -
Good morning, it's dry and breezy here, think I'll put some washing in.
I forgot to come back and post yesterday, it was well on in the evening when I remembered.
I'll got the dog on my knee now, but I'm posting on my Kindle. He's lovely, a little spaniel, and as Nanny said yesterday makes a good hot water bottle.! He's going home today.
We didn't do much yesterday, DH still not very well. This cold and cough has knocked the stuffing out of him - he tested for Covid yesterday but it was negative . He said he feels worse with this than he did with Covid.I
How are you Maddy, I hope the virus is in retreat and you are feeling better.
Today I'll just be washing and tidying. Dgd is coming for her tea as is usual in Monday. She is coughing like a good 'un as well, as his her younger brother, who kindly passed it on to Dh!
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A neither here nor there start for us. Cloud and occasionally (very) the sun gets through but, hallelujah, no wind!! No rain forecast but neither was there yesterday and we had a shower in the afternoon. I could do with a bit of pottering outside today so I hope that dratted wind doesn't get up again.
My Tes*o delivery yesterday provided me with 3 subs but they were all to my benefit so no complaints there. And it's lovely to see a full fridge again.
Nothing exciting planned for today here at Casa Abuela but is there ever! I have bedding to wash but I may leave it until tomorrow when it's a better forecast.
Have a good day folks if you can. Safe drive to Glasgow GERS. NELS take it carefully. It doesn't sound as though you are getting much, if any, help from your DB. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Hi everyone,
Up and did the meal plan for the week, just need to run it by Laura and then do the shopping list. I don't think there'll be a lot to buy for the meals, just the usual mountain of bread and milk plus some veg and fish, I have everything else in.
I finished deep cleaning the kitchen and then caused more mess by making biscuits with Esben - he calls them gingerbread men but really they are shortbread, he doesn't eat the gingerbread, just carries them round like dolls.
Today I have my eye appointment at Addenbrookes, I'm not really expecting them to want to do anything, at most it will be a watch and wait I expect, I have no symptoms and would be reluctant to have treatment unless they tell me it's necessary. Steve will have to drive me because they might put drops in my eyes to dilate them which will make it impossible for me to drive remembering the last time they did it. Laura is in London today so we'll take Esben with us and Steve can take him to the playground while I'm in the hospital.
Well done with the sorting Gers and good luck with yours Nels. I've been going through some of the boxes which came from Laura and Brian's and putting them to one side to go to their storage unit - if they haven't been looked at in a month they can't be that important.
Have a good day.12 -
Off to see a pony. Wish me luck
Back later with update.

Morning everyone, bright and sunny here this morning.
Yesterday was mixed - lovely weather and DSis's garden is beautiful. Good to see my niece and nephews and their partners. DS1's gf had bad endo and stayed home, which received a sarky comment from DMum as soon as we arrived. The GKs had clubbed together for a gift and DMum didn't look that impressed - at least her face didn't! DSis and I are taking her away for a weekend which is going to be challenging. Sorry to those of you that no longer have your Mums - seems she can be nice to everyone except her nearest and dearest.
....and breathe....
DH is in Solihull today and I'm WFH. DS2 has a Comp Science exam this afternoon. First load of washing on and about to be pegged out, second lot ready to go on. Dinner is meatballs and spaghetti with arrabiata sauce.
Hope your dental appointment goes okay Gers and congrats on the new little one in Germany- lovely name.
Hope to pony is a good fit for your brood mehefin.
Have a good day everyone,
