Why don't EAs put on floor plans - laziness ?

We are looking to re-locate in a few areas and I'm keeping my eye on properties that are coming up for sale.  There's a few come up for sale (one in particular) which is a lovely property (bungalow) but it has no floor plan despite the agent describing it as having an unusual but well thought out layout.  I rang them and they said it would be on there by Wednesday of that week - it's now 2 weeks on and still not on but price reduced.  Maybe if they'd put a floor plan on it might have sold aaaargh! Laziness?

Where I live you have to pay for the EPC and floor plan.  I also had to pay for my photographs. My vendor didn't have her EPC in place when I offered, and didn't offer a floor plan, I did that when I moved in.

    Money.
It takes time and tech to create a floor plan.
Some EAs will do it, some won't.
It may depend on the value of the property (and hence EA commission), fee being charged, vendor preference....

Tell the EA what you want as most are pretty hopeless.

I always see houses without a floor plan as an opportunity as fewer people will arrange viewing so less competition.

    Ah this is useful thanks

The fact they’ve described it as having an “unusual but well thought out layout” combined with not having a floorplan would for me, suggest the footprint of the bungalow is maybe not that big and the floorplan would possibly put people off viewing it.

If you google the address, or click the link on Rightmove for properties sale history nearby, then "go to nearby sold prices you may find a layout from previous sales if they didn't happen too many years ago.  It might not show on Rightmove but search other platforms like Zoopla for the same address sold price.

Less useful for a bungalow or unusual/extended house, that differs from the rest in the street, but you could look at the opposite, handed side of a semi immediately next door or the same "side" version of next-door-plus-one.
