Good morning my daughter purchased goods in May and returned them for a refund also in May, she recieved notification this morning advising that she would not be eligible for a refund as they have gone into administration, how is that fair?

What do you think should happen? If a business is bankrupt then there isn't enough money for all of the creditors. Your daughter is (presumably) being treated in the same way as all of the other ordinary creditors.0

Can she ask that her purchase be returned to her so she can sell it on?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Missguided isn't refusing a refund, Missguided no longer exists as an operating business and administrators are in the process of winding it up. Your daughter, probably along with thousands of others, is an unsecured creditor. That means she's at the back of the queue to get any money back. She may be lucky eventually, but she needs to assume she has lost her money. Fair? It's the way the law works, simple as that.

How did she pay for it? If it was by card directly with the site (and not via PayPal or BNPL) then she can do a chargeback to recover the funds.0 -
Time that Mike Ashley & his group that buy up all these names under packaged deals from administrators had to deal with previous customers refunds.
