I would agree, as far as the absence of CHAPS and the daily £25K limit is concerned.

Not sure though about the £5K payment Chase refused to make to the Auction House, and there is definitely nothing in the Chase T&Cs that says anything about having your payments to the same payee being blocked on a daily basis, and also nothing about it taking hours to have them released (which Chase apparently now put down to a “technical error”, according to an MSE article). Most of the OP’s issues would not have occured if Chase offered CHAPS payments, like all other UK banks do.

I don't believe the £25K transactions were made by debit card. They were just normal bank transfers
