ooooooooooooh, I've got a job interview!:j I applied for a part time 8 month fixed contract Project Admin job at the local FE college and I've got an interview on 3 Jan!

I'm really pleased. It's mad really as the salary is tiny in comparison to the money I earned when I was made redundant, but if I can do the hours in the mornings, it will be perfect as I can then do AQA in the afternoons and it might mean I can cut down to 6 days a week working, maybe have Sundays off! :T As long as I have the money in the bank to pay the bills and put food on the table, I'm happy and I have to be realisitic and admit that AQA isn't a full time viable option as it means working 7 days a week.

It will be scary though - I took a huge bashing in my old job (for those that know what happened ;) ) and it wiped out all my self belief work wise, I've hidden away doing AQA since I was made redundant in May.

It's less than 5 minutes drive away as well.

That's great Keren!! You'll do great I'm sure. :) I don't know what happened in your old job but I'm sure you'll be perfect for this new one! :D

No, I'll be good and do Delia's Black Forest Gateau swiss roll. I've got a huge jar of cherries in the fridge to use up.

    Good morning (afternoon) everyone.

What's the MSE way of sorting out noisy neighbours? They've just woken me up!

Have to say, I think I might be ill.

Remember I said I took the tree lights back and one of the things I bought instead was a mega tin of Roses????? I opened them yesterday and had 4 or 5......and afterwards I thought - I really didn't enjoy them and I don't fancy any more.....

    NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO.............I've got chocolotitus!!!!!!!!!

Afternoon all! You're not the only one Keren, we've had loads of chocolate going around at work and I'm sick of it already, think it might be cos I've got a cold though and it doesn't taste right  Congrats on the job interview

And thankyou to those of you who've mentioned Christmas cards, you've inspired me to finally dig them out and write them.. I can't face starting wrapping pressies though :o

  • woohoo, the tree is up:j ! All the pressies are underneath and my donated/scaveneged lights are looking fixed and fab and twinkling merrily :T

Have to say, my thoughts a couple of weeks back about my tree looking a bit sad are right - this is definitely going to be its last year I think. The top half is fine, but the bottom half looks a bit sorry for itself. I've covered it in stuff so it will do me for this year.

I might be mega MSE and wait until just after Christmas when everyone sells them off cheap.

Keren, my little somerfield has loads of baubles which were 50p each (cheap enough) reduced to 10p!! You could pop along and treat your tree to some more and you wouldn't even spend a pound....

After all you are going there for cake anyway aren't you!?

Looked at Delia's website for this fancy cake, it looks fab but i'm in shock look at this http://www.deliaonline.com/articles/food/jus-rol-your-little-helper-this-christmas,2085,AR.html

Delia doesn't make her own, Delia says use ready to roll pastry!!!!

PS, who just happens to have a jar of cherries in their fridge!?! Get you!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
