Easyjet cancelled flights but are only giving partial refund

Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, but figured it's not compensation related so doesn't belong there.

I was due to fly to Bordeaux from Bristol on Tuesday afternoon but the flight was cancelled a few hours beforehand. I requested a full refund, but today I have had an email regarding my refund which includes the following:

Payment details
Payment to easyJet of £210.20 by Debit Mastercard on 23/02/2022
Refund of £60.96 to Debit Mastercard on 09/06/2022
Payment to easyJet of £60.96 by Credit/Voucher on 09/06/2022
Refund of £54.53 to Debit Mastercard on 09/06/2022
Payment to easyJet of £54.53 by Credit/Voucher on 09/06/2022
Refund of £64.06 to Debit Mastercard on 09/06/2022

I paid £210.20 in total, but unless I'm reading it wrong I appear to only be having £64.06 back. This is also the same in my 'Manage my booking' section on the Easyjet website.

Does anybody have any experience with this? I can't figure out what all these "Payment to easyJet" items relate to aside from the original payment on 23.02.22.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked your credit card account to see what has been  creditted.

Looks like you paid £210.20 and have been refunded £60.96 + £54.53 + £64.06 = £179.55, £30.65 short.  I think the credit/voucher thing is purely internal accounting. As above though check your bank account.

Have you a breakdown of the original £210.20 (presumably from 'manage your booking') - this would show if they're refunding individual parts at a time (flight cost/taxes/luggage etc)

I haven't actually had the refund paid into my account yet, just the email confirming the figures above. Hopefully when it does arrive in my bank account it'll be for the full amount and problem avoided, but I'm not optimistic.

There's no price breakdown on my booking unfortunately.

if you booked bags or seat assignment, these are often refunded separately to the flight cost

Thanks for everybody's responses. I've since had the full amount refunded, albeit in four separate transactions, so all sorted thankfully!

Given you have had the full amount back you may want to correct the thread title
