Should we fix or not?

Hello everyone, this is my first post so I apologise if I am going over old ground with my question.
We have solid fuel so are only billed for electricity.
Our current tariff ends 13/07/22 with eon next which costs £785.96 per year - this is a fixed deal.
Renewal offers are: Next Online v14 - £1612.36 or Next Flex (variable tariff) - £1295.70 per year.
This is an assumed annual usage of 3,820kWh.
We were thinking that perhaps it will be best to fix taking the October price rise into consideration, but would appreciate any advice.
Thank you

welcome.
Is the assumed annual usage of 3,820kWh reflective of your actual use?0 -
Hi,
I think that figure will be pretty accurate as we have used 3,655kWh so far in this fixed deal which doesn't run out until 13 July.0 -
can you give the actual prices for standing charge/day & /kWh that you have been offered?0
-
Next online v14 fixed - standing charge 48.527 p/day
- unit rate 37.711kWh
Next Flex variable - standing charge 54.516p/day
- unit rate 28.816kWh0 -
Welcome to the forum.Next online V14 is named by MSE in this article as being one of the fixed-rate deals that is worth considering:

Thanks QrizB, I did see that article but was just doubly making sure we were doing the right thing.
Either way it's a big leap from what we were paying, although everyone is the same boat.1
