Impossible to say, as we don't know where you saw it, what the advertised rate was, or whether you phoned the correct number to speak to customer services. If you saw an advert on Facebook for a "Cynergy Bank 6% bond" asking you to call a mobile phone number for further details, then it could well be a scam. There is a genuine bank called Cynergy Bank, who do offer fixed term accounts, but you need to ensure you are dealing with them and not an impersonator.

It is on the MSE Website 1 Year Fixed Bond 2.57% Customer service number 03458505555, strangely got same advisor twice (Simon) and have checked and seen some negative reviews in past

Following the link provided in the MSE one-year fixed savings table will take you to Cynergy's website, where you can get all the information you need about this account. The interest rate increased yesterday to 2.57%.

Yes, that's a genuine account and contact details are correct. I wouldn't worry too much about negative reviews, bad experiences happen. Many have used Cynergy without issue and a fixed account doesn't require much ongoing customer service, money in, then money out in a year's time.
