Hi everyone
Apologies if you have heard this before, this is my 1st post.
In April I couldn't set up a direct debit to pay for my council tax via my online council account,so I set my payments up on a standing order rather than risk being late paying. After 2 months of paying it,we were awarded a council tax hardship award which took our liability to £0 to pay.I then cancelled the SO and I am wondering how the council tax rebate is likely to be paid as I still qualify
Hope someone has some experience of this
Many thanks

Cancelling the Standing Order will not have made any difference as it does not give the council your bank details.denfreddy60 said:Hi everyone

What you need to do depends on how your local council is handling payments to those not on Direct Debit. The best thing you can do at the moment is to look on their website and see what the process is for those not on Direct Debit as it varies by council, with some contacting intended recipient, whilst others are not doing that yet.0
