Morning guys
I am looking to put money into the Investec 1 year fixed savings account ,but my bank Lloyds
does not recognise the investec account .Is it safe

I have an account with Investec and they are excellent. Immediate Faster Payments too. Like many, I don’t think they use confirmation of payee so that’s why you are getting a warning. If you are worried, do a small transfer first.

Investec are a reputable, FCA regulated organisation with savings accounts covered to £85K by the FSCS.

it's just they don't have 'confirmation of payee' functionality that is all. I've made 3 deposits with them during my funding period this week - all fine and acknowledged within seconds of transferring the money. Didn't want to lock £ away for more than 12 months so 2.4% is a good deal

Hi, I had a problem opening a 1 yr fixed saver with Investec. Tried twice from my pc using QR code to link my smart phone to the ID verification but it didn't work. Spoke to the online chat who recommended applying on my smartphone instead, which I didn't like doing but did. As I have stupid fingers I mistyped my email address so didn't receive any emails from them once account was verified. Been a while on the chat and finally sorted the email issue, logged on, re-set my email address but still haven't received any emails from them. I have now seen numerous online reviews for this company saying the money the customer transferred didn't arrive at Investec and various other issues and I am just very wary of transferring money. I wanted to invest £££ so am in a quandary now as to whether or not to use them.

Investec are fine, been using them for 10+ years. The new online portal is slick and quick

Have just opened 1yr fix. Money arrive ok. I've used them in the past for easy access. Assuming you used the correct bank details, it should arrive.  Perhaps it's a deadline thing and it's now showing on account?  I only use my mobile for 2nd factor texts so can't answer to app method - prefer laptop for banking as, like you, I have had problems with mobile app banking - too much hassle for me.
