It already comes with 2048mb (2x1024mb).
Should be enough for most applications.

I did the same upgrade myself - and the system is great - if you order today it will probably be with you by next Monday at the latest

I didn't choose the modem option, do I need to? I chose the wireless router which I assume will suffice.

Anyway to get further discount? Cheeky, but it is Xmas...

No - you should not need a modem, if you are on broadband. if the PC is placed near your router you wont need a wireless card either as you can plugh the network cable straight into the back of the router.

i've been looking at this one also. does it run quietly? how does the spec on this (with 500GB hd for £240) compare with a self-build? rather than fixing my current box i might just get one of these!
