Plenty of mules on the MSE article on the link below. It may be from 2018, but it is still there on the paragraph titled " Consider setting up a second account as a switching mule"

However, my point was that even a professional journalist on this site uses the term inappropriately.

If anyone from MSE is reading this, perhaps they could get the article edited to remove this unfortunate error.
