CST Law 'letter before claim'

I have been hassled by MET parking for years in regards to them not supplying me/withholding a permit for my vehicle as a result, they issued me with a fine for parking in my resident bay. This bay I pay for by direct debit to my housing association and have never been in arrears. I did call them up on a few occasions asking where my permit was they said they sent it, but it never arrived which left me to park in my bay without one.
I have had my original parking contract since 2000 in it it says nothing about displaying a permit only that I must pay for the rental of my parking space.

They are asking for £175 for parking in my own space which I pay for in advance, I think this is grossly unfair and vindictive on harassing residents to be exploited as cash cows.

This morning I was going through rubbish and found an unopened letter that looked like junk mail but was in fact a letter from CST LAW 'Letter before claim' dated 4th November 2021.

I think my daughter may have thrown it there with other junk mail?

I have not heard anything in this time (4th November 2021) and do not know what I should do, can someone advise, please.

Thank you.

It's only a CST law letter. All is explained in the CST Law group thread where that same letter os shown several times over.

Have you received any correspondence from CCBC at Northampton which may also have made its way into the recycling bin?  Is your V5C up to date?  Before the Letter before Claim from CST Law, did you receive a PCN?
  • "Have you received any correspondence from CCBC at Northampton "  No! nothing as yet.

This was back in 17th May 2018., I recall them sending a demand for payment which I contacted MSE and was told here to ignore them as I was in the right as they had not sent my permit and I was paying for my space as well as the original parking contract dated in 2000 which mentioned nothing about displaying permits only that I park only in my space and pay for the space.

I did call MET parking asking for my permit and was told it was sent out, but it never was then when I persisted, they were very rude and then getting through to them was a nightmare so I gave up in the end.

I would like to go to crown court as I can prove that I was paying direct debit for my parking space to my HO as I have always done.

Sorry no, it's a matter of just searching the forum for CST Law letters or Googling for it.

For people not used to forums, the latter is sometimes easier but you obviously have to add moneysavingexpert.com to a Google search.  Has a similar effect to a forum search,

HOW TO USE THE MSE SEARCH FUNCTION MOST EFFECTIVELY

Follow the steps in the link below to get the most effective results from the MSE search function.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You will find the CST Law thread very interesting and full of stupidity from this bunch

YOU DO NOT OWE £175, CST LAW ARE FAKING IT AGAIN, It is so sad that the SRA allow their members to fake it ..... BUT ..... CST LAW (Credit style) have been up in front of the SRA not so long ago .... I guess their motto is "we'll be back"

The letter before claim is just a legal requirment but it does not follow a court claim will follow.  Keep all the paperwork and if they do take you to county court, come back here for help how to zap them
